The eventers challenge open classes and championships were mostly well represented and enjoyed last year, so we are only making a slight change.
Opening the proceedings on Thursday is the clear round, followed by 60cm and 70cm open classes. Then the first championship – the 70cm Eventers Challenge Championship, with a full set of swag to be won: iconic star pointed rosettes, sashes for champion and reserve and a rug or jacket to the winner. Q&A: What’s the difference in format between an open class and championship class? None at all! The first section consists of 6-8 show jumps, with a time allowed, immediately followed by a second section of 8 or more ’cross country’ style rustic and natural fences with an optimum time. All classes may include the lovely water complex, so get practicing splashing through those puddles on your hacks!
